Middlebrook
Valley Lodge is managed by David and Verna
Metcalfe who are themselves very well
supported by a team of dedicated horse
people experienced in all aspects of horse
foaling, rearing and care.
David
and Verna's horse skills have been honed
working under highly regarded professionals
in the industry such as Peter Flynn of
Woodlands where they worked for 12 years
and John Vincent, currently manager of
Tyreel Stud - acknowledged as Australia's
yearling preparation leaders, for a further
6 years.
David,
Verna and their team work with the philosophy
that every horse is assessed and treated
as an individual. Communicating with our
horse owners, trainers and vets is a vital
part of the ongoing service that Middlebrook
Valley Lodge provides.
David
and Verna are recognised for their ability
to achieve excellent conception rates,
well above the industry standard. It has
been said that Verna has probably foaled
down more mares than anyone else in Australia.
They
are justly proud of their hard earned
reputation and use their exceptional skills
in giving foals and yearlings the best
start in life.
Both
David and Verna are accomplished in every
facet of operating thoroughbred properties
of the highest caliber and it is this
experience that they bring to Middlebrook
Valley Lodge.
You
can rest assured that David and Verna
will give your bloodstock the best possible
attention and care.
